What is the Size of your Monitor?

Postby hulmey on Sun Aug 19, 2007 12:54 am

Please could as many people as possible take a few minutes out of their fun time on CC to answer the above important question. This question will allow map makers to see which is the best size map for your monitor.

Ps...please also take the time out to asnswer the poll in the other thread concerning wether you perfer small or large maps.

14" laptop. But size doesn't really matter as long as you know how to use it, right?

Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

Resolution is going to be just as important as monitor size... actually, more so.

Two 19" LCDS. one is wide, the other square. Unfortantly, I cannot change the resolution since they're set for LCDs.

Did you measure it correctly? Screens are measured diagonally from one corner to another

Ah right thnx, I guess that makes mine roughly 18" then, taken from rounding root 338...though i guess my 6" ruler being the only measuring device available may have thrown up some inaccuracies...

So you are saying its not so much the length of the diagonal that's important - it's the thickness of the resolution that matters?

My ex used to say that to me all the time, but I'm not sure she was being entirely honest.

19" are only about $130 now if you know where to look. Probably less. That's LCD too, you could probably find a CRT for less.
