unnecessary abusiveness

Postby Orc666 on Thu Jul 19, 2007 1:54 pm

Hi
In one of my games I offered an alliance to someone , he then started saying I shouldnt be doing that and should play in a team game.I then said I hate team games and doing agreements should be part of the Standard game.
anyway now he is getting abusive to me. can he be kicked off the site?
I dont mind disagreeing about the game with players but personal insults are just pathetic.
Obviously I could just retaliate and give him abuse back but I dont want that to happen really.
am I over reacting?

Over reacting big time, get over it. Alliances are fine in my book and he has no right to insult you for trying to make one, but you're just being a baby about it

A good portion of the people here do not like alliances. Just put him on your ignore list and you won't see his chat comments, or have to worry about playing in any other games with him.

LOL Nice to see you're remaining cool-headed about the matter. You remind me of me!

Is there a way of setting up games with like minded players , ie ones who enjoy the diplomacy aspect of it?

I remember the first & only time I accepted an alliance (I believe it was for 3 rounds). The guy proceeded to attack all the other players around me...so the only person I could've attacked after that was him! We made an agreement to never join each others' games after that.

I was going to leave him negative feedback, but it was Christmas Eve & he claimed that he had low blood sugar so I kinda felt sorry for him. I don't know if he added me to his ignore list, but I never added him to mine...and true to his word, he's stayed out of all my games. But from now on, I never accept alliances.

Hopefully they get a Friends List done soon. It would be easier to make games with like-minded people then.

If you're in it to win it then one of you's going to break an alliance anyway ... so I tend not to get into them in the first place to save the bad feelings
