i am in a game of 4 players, first two have taken turns, i am last and rdy to make a move but its the guy above me's turn and he is away or just not playing so how long will it take for it to cancel him and let me make my turn, not the end of the round right? as i shouldn't suffer because guy above me is afk.

He has 24 hours to make his move. After that, you have 24 hours to make yours. Pain in the ass I know but he will get kicked out if he does it 3 times in a row
