It's been over eleven years for me and while I do feel very much alive at one week minus 62, it does seem very much like most everyone else in the real world is done with me....lol
I am 6 months short of 62 and disagree with you about the real world.

That part is okay, but about five years ago I bought a home in Utah, a thousand miles from LA, and applied for jobs at firms in Utah. After 2 years of applications I got exactly one interview, from a friend of a friend. No one whatsoever has any interest in hiring anyone over 55.
I changed jobs just over 3 years ago. Get out of your comfort zone and change careers.

Again I will disagree. As far as stores are concerned must national stores are under staffed and under paid. I feel if that locally owned stores are friendlier. As far a restaurants go, if the server treats you as if you are invisible speak with your wallet. Any tip is decided by you and you don't have to go back there. It is your choice.
