looking through the scoreboard i noticed some of the top players play the same type over and over again.

most of them on classic map.

while i've got nothing against this, i'm wondering, if they ever get bored?

i mean, come on, playin doubles sequential escalating unlimited on classic map again and again and again and again and again..... tends wo become realy dull, doesn't it?

i've got only ~ 60 games and i've tried many maps. and all types of setups.

and the most curious thisng is some of the top players never tried anything other than classic or world 2.1. aren't they curious?
or is score more important than fun or curiosity?

i guess if you play the same game type many times and with a good partner for doubles, in time you become really good and start climbing ranks but could you really be called a great player if all you know is doubles on classic with flat rate and chained?

maybe on great lakes or on australia you get your ass kicked by a private

I wondered that as well. When I try a new map I usually do get beat in the first game, but at least I feel like I learn something.

Of course with the new ranks I just realized I got beat by a cook in a Siege! game. It cost me 80pts.

If this site was only Classic then I might play once in a while, but I certainly wouldn't have paid to play. As it is, they do a great job of keeping it interesting.
