Should I have gotten a Neg Feedback for making that play?

Having read your situation, I think what you did was a big gamble but not necessarily a bad one. Sounds like Yorkie Peter was about to win the game if you didn't do something fast so I support you. Perhaps a tad foolish in retrospect but it is wonderful when we have hindsight because had you pulled it off, no doubt you would have won

The op is a little hypocritical as he himself left a neg to macewg for exactly the same reason.

In this game in question i had manouevred myself into a strong position and set my forts so that whoever attacked me was sure to lose. The third player (AlexAG) had already congratulated me on a fine win until Scott-land gave up and handed him the game. Sure I was about to cash for 40, but had Scottland decided to just get a card he may have been cashing next for 45.

If this is the way escalating games are played then it makes the game pure luck.

Also for an experienced player Scott-land should know better than to give me retalliatory feedback. All he did was complain about the feedback I had given him. Needless to say the mods immediately deleted it.

yeah, higher ranked players use the ignore list, and lower ranked tend to use feedback.

yes I left Macewg neg for suiciding. he had no intentions of eliminating me for a cash. he said he didnt want me to win - thats totally different scenerio Yorkie.

i had several factors to consider- it wasnt a random wreckless attack.... 1) i could take a card and lose less points to the higher ranked player. 2) go for the kill and win the game. if i missed - i would secure 2nd place and receive 5 points instead of 2.....after all it was a tournament game. i chose the 2nd option and fell 4 armies short.......

Even though scott hung you yorkie, his move was the right move to do in his situation. If there was no other chance of him winning (which according to him there wasnt), its definitely ok to go for a chance. A 40% chance of winning is better than a 0% chance... I saw qeee1 explaining in the forums (when he was around), a game where he was going to win, until FP tried to take him out. It was a situation much like yours and scotts, but he was good enough to accept the fact that it was FP's only chance of winning.

As for the feedback, I have to ask myself, "whats the point?". The only people that give a damn about the feedback is you and scott. I seriously doubt that scott will be inviting you to anymore games, and that you will want to play each other again. So, just delete the neg, and put him on ignore.

Had you explained that to me earlier instead of trying to trash me here, through PMs and through feedback I would have given you the benefit of the doubt.

I will now withdraw the feedback

good job guys...thats what the feedback is there for...keep people in check and help resolve differences...

im thinking yorkies going to be a prominent player soon, so its good you guys dont have a silly battle over one round in one game...

this game naturally causes friction in situations like this...its how its dealt with thats important...

gl to both of you...and hope to see you around yorkie...

i know ill see you scooter..lol

I know this is about something else, but the title of the topic is negative feedback, and I need to vent so I'm posting this here. I had one open slot, reserved for the tournament that I'm in where the next round will probably start tomorrow. So I joined the Live chat looking for a real time game, and I finally find one. Halfway through the first player taking his turn the player who started the game said he had to go out and he couldn't play the game... WHAT THE f*ck?

I've never cared about feedback, but I'm so pissed about this. Personally I would prefer it if I could get out of the game, but as that isn't an option. What else can I do?

To me, this merits some sort of admonishment. I don't give a toss what crap excuse he has. So I will be giving my first feedback, for what its worth.

if you are wishing to warn other players, then feedback is the way to go, but most ppl dont care, use your ignore list if you dont want to play him again.

Round the board - we have a "bag on" penalty...

If 2 or more players get a "bag on" about something/each other etc... they lose 2 armies from their next reinforcement... (as voted by the other players)

It is rarely enforced... but it makes you check yourself before you fly off the handle at someone!!
