Have we got too many games going ?

Decided to join another game today to find a total of 34 games waiting for players , spread between those were only 49 players , the amount of games open has suddenly exploded and i see some tables waiting 4/5 days and more . This seems to have co-incided with the advent of premium membership . Is it possible that we have too many variations on the game settings ?, ( im sure theres a mathematician amongst us who can calculate exactly how many combinations there are ) some peeps want to put other maps in as well !.

Its very simple, the number of variations is number of:
player possible X maps X game types X play order X bonus cards X fortifications

Or:
4 X 3 X 3 X 3 X 3 X 2 = 648
Yes, there are 648 possibilities, not counting the players that will play.
