At the bottom of every forum page it states (and I quote) "All times are UTC - 8 hours"; so that means all times are Pacific Time, which is my time zone here in good 'ol Southern California. As I write, it is 2/19/14 9:13 am. So far, no problemo. But on all the the site pages, in the upper left corner it reads (at this junction of eternity) "Feb 19 12:17 CCT", which is 3 hours ahead of UTC -8 - or from where I sit - Eastern Time, UTC -5.
My query: if all times are UTC -8, how come CCT is UTC -5? If a tournament starts at 12:00 pm CCT, does that mean EST (which would be 9:00 am Pacific)?
This would seem to indicate that CC runs things in 2 time zones; time stamp for forum posts being UTC -8, and everything else UTC -5. So if I wanna get in on a game that starts at 10:00 am CCT, I gotta be ready by 7:00 am PST (not accounting for DST).

If I got this right, next week I'll explain how today is yesterday and tomorrow is today across the International Date Line......
