CC Greasmonkey for Internet Explorer?

Postby jnd94 on Thu May 17, 2007 4:13 pm

I tried to download the greasmonkey script, but it didnt download. I then figured out that it can download only with firefox. Is there a version for Internet Explorer?

No - we are forced to use our brain because Microsoft is poor.

It may turn out that Guilty Buscuit is correct.

But if you are stout of heart and have the courage of a jaguarundi you might give Trixie a try.

From a web design perspective using css and javascript, I can say from experience that really is the bane of the internet. Every time a person switches to firefox, a tiny weight is lifted off the shoulders of web designers everywhere...

You say that - but it was netscape that was the bane of any and all javascript programmers everywhere for a few years...

IE 5 was a dream in comparison!!

Things are better these days, but ie causes a lot of trouble now, and its disheartening knowing the only reason you need to make specific code for ie is because its bundled with windows. But I don't want to derail this thread.

PS. get firefox jnd94

Just so you know I just tried out my script with trixie and it doesn't work, if anybody has the time to investigate what would need to be changed to make it work, and provided the changes don't break in firefox, I would be very happy to include them in a later release of the script.
