It's been said before, but I'll say it again, in a private game with other high-ranked people I can be SURE that I'll enjoy the game, simply because the players are experienced and therefore generally better than someone who just joined and definitely better than someone with as many games but half the points. It can be damn hard to keep those 2000 or even 1600 points if you don't play doubles or aren't a professional freestyle player.
That being said: don't get me wrong, 90% or more of my games are public I think. It's just that every now and then it's nice to play a game without deadbeats, people who miss every 2nd turn but never 3 in a row, rude immature teenagers, children who think they can prove something by writing "LOL" 20 times a day and telling you you're gay, the incurably paranoid who think anyone that attacks them is a multi or secretly allied to everyone else and of course the outright idiots who will attack randomly and spoil the game for you because they have never even heard of "strategy" and "tactics", the suiciders who can't deal with a standoff between 3 people and throw away the game and those who will threaten to kill you off if you don't do as they say, nevermind that they'd be losing, too.
Those people tend not to be able to accumulate points, simply because they lose too many games. I think you can see what I'm aiming at.
If you really are as good as you seem to claim, then win some games, get some points and play these games yourself.
