I've got one for you. When you come to a intersection, is it better to turn left or turn right?

Oh did I, genius? Actually, it was a stupid question. Because she has boundless patience, Tahitiwahini took the effort to explain all the angles that the OP didn't bother to mention. I'm obviously not as nice a person. Once you've been here a little while, you'll see a number of strategy questions that illustrate one thing: people love to get hung up on dogmatic boiler plate tactics and fail to take a very important thing into consideration. Each freaking situation is unique! Should I take this guy out? Well, how many armies does he have? how many cards does he have? Do you get to turn in right away if you take him? Is it likely gonna cost you 20 armies to only get 3 cards in a flat rate game?jaybebo wrote:detlef wrote:What a stupid freaking question.

I think that more or less this question was of the rhetorical nature. Obviously, you were unable to see it that way.

Are you copying my strategy?
Not nice of you...really

Should I take this continent? How many armies is it gonna cost? Can you hold it? Will you bring undo attention to yourself? What's it worth?
Would you prefer that I just randomly pick an answer?
So. Maybe after the 50th time some momo asks a stupid question that can't be answered without summing up "Risk For Dummies", you'll understand why pricks like me flame these questions.
My aren't we clever. Now if you could only apply some of that to your game, you'd be on the right side of 1000.jaybebo wrote:detlef wrote:Oh did I, genius? Actually, it was a stupid question. I like you detlef...you are able to admit that you have a problem. Solid, man, solid.

Let's see, when I called the question stupid, he implied that I was unable to see it for the rhetorical question that it was. When I explained, no it was actually a stupid question and showed why, he rather un-deftly "agreed" with the fact that I referred to myself as a prick. Doesn't appear to me that he was "complimenting" me. Then again maybe I'm just a mean person. (Jaybebo, this is where you highlight that last part and "applaud" my insight)joeyjordison wrote:detlef wrote:My aren't we clever. bit insulting. he was on ur side and as far as i can see was complimenting u!
don't take the mick out of some1's score if they've only played 14 games.
jaybebo obviously hasn't been here long and he's done nothing to deserve that remark
