deadbeat or no deadbeat it all comes down to current active members. If the top 50 players on the site quit the overall average of the community would take a huge blow to win loss percentage.

Well, I can agree with you on this. I know that in Robinette's first post she was referring to the average of all players that have played the game. But an average of current active players would be more reflective of the true average win%.
You want to know the real kicker though? Since most of the people that are affecting the average win% are deadbeats (as shown in all the examples you guys have stated) the current active players should have an average win% OVER their chance of winning (1/6). So having below that number makes your statistics look even worse for that game type.
