seems like you both had problems with each other and he was going to give you neg feedback anyway, but I'm not sure what the ruling on relataliatory feed back is or how to get it removed. You should probably message a moderator

it's a disagreement in playing styles, not retaliatory. feedback stands.

While reading the negative feedback received by several players in my recent games
I've noticed that much of it sounds like sour grapes over the game's outcome.

So I'd like to ask what is considered the most legitimate negative response
and wonder why more players don't use neutral instead.

I totally agree with this. Coming from a player that has 1 of the highest scores for feedback, I feel the system is abused. There is also alot of negative feedbacks I must get removed because players leave messages "I suck", "Hes a cheater" followed with name calling. I think we need to tighten up what is permitted. Simpy leaving messages because of "sour grapes" like Ovo stated needs to be eliminated.

And before all you forum spammers that like to do nothing but flame every thread on here..... yes, I had about 20 positive feedbacks deleted because I was lazy and copied and pasted them. There was also another 10 I deleted before Lack had a chance too. I would have deleted all 30 of them if asked to in advance.

I potentially have a case study coming up

A Guy joined Stronger and I in trips....a few moves in complained we didnt kill our own teammates to take a territory and get a plus 2 bonus, when every army counted, and taking them away would have been suicide...so...in protest he deadbeated in the game. He is litterally posting, but wont make his move because he disagreed with how we were playing....now this clearly warrants a negative feedback...I may or may not give one, but the guys complaining, and throwing the game....however, I can almost guarantee he will leave one for stronger and I, reading..."plays stupid gave them everything and they didnt take a territory"...and there isnt much I can do about it...he disagrees with how we played it...he of course has played 47 games total, so it is rather funny...and many that play no cards trips will only take thier partners armies out in extreme circumstances... But this is why higher ranks avoid lower ranks they dont know. Myself, I can probably handle another negative...but it is annoying that I can play a game right, be courteous, make all my moves, and get a negative feedback from a guy who's spent less minutes in here than Ive played games....

Luckilly, I know when people read it...they will first laugh at him and then click ignore as I do to all that leave ridiculous negative feedbacks
I'm Spanking Monkey now....err...I mean I'm a Spanking Monkey now...that shoots milk
Too much. I know.

that is why I started posting notes in the game so the game can be documented for Wicked to read. Its to the point where if the player beats you to the punch, than his feedback over rides yours because he posted first. Personally Fitz, i would not leave feedback. But you are probably right, he will leave one for you and than you have to deal with it. I got a similar example going on right now where the player missed 2 of 5 turns and is refusing to follow the team game plan. Our 3rd teamate is yelling at him in game chat and he is totally not cooperating. I have no intention on leaving him any feedback, but if he leaves one for me, it will stand. Even if it has nothing to do with the game. It could be just his opinion.

You should see the feedback she leaves! Seriously, check it out. It's really weird :?

I thought the reason to leave feedback (especially negative feedback) is for the benefit of other players, not yourself. It seems to me if you say I know a player should receive negative feedback but I'm afraid of retaliation so I won't do it, then not only have you failed in your responsibility to your fellow players who should be warned of this miscreant, but you've also given into tacit intimidation that will do nothing but embolden that player to do to other players what he did to you and worse in the expectation that he will never be called to account for it.

Well, in my opinion you can't avoid getting involved in using the feedback system in the way it was intended to be used, and simultaneously bemoan the fact that there are players out there doing bad things. There's a cause and effect relationship there that should be apparent to obviously intelligent people. If the cost of doing the right thing is some negative feedback (that may or may not be removed on appeal) then it seems to me that's a pretty small price to pay to do your part towards improving the CC community.
Cheers,

Well written. In fact you MUST have confidence that when folks read negative feedback against you that they won't just look at the tally, but they will consider the source of that negative feedback in weighing its merit. You must have complete faith that it will all work out in the end and not be afraid. Or, have absolutely no faith that the site is just and don't even bother at all participating in the current feedback model.

Frankly, I find the feedback that others leave to be far more indicative of their character and skill than that which is given to them. That is why I concentrate more on what I leave that what I will or won't get.
