Missing in action

Postby GrudgeBringer_ on Sat Jun 30, 2012 8:10 pm

I was under the impression that if you missed 2 turns you were ejected (for lack of a better word) from the game.

I am in a quads team game and a person has missed 3 turns (in a row). From what I am hearing..he still accumulates his troops so that when he gets back he has a whole ton to use AND he can stay gone because it is a team game as long as he wants... :o

Could someone enlighten me on the rules of missing turns please... :?

Thanks

a person gets kicked out of game when you miss 3 turns in a row (one gets kicked out at the start of his 3rd turn that s/he misses).

HOWEVER, in a Team game, once a person gets kicked out, all his Spoils are given to another team member (the spoils are not distributed evenly among team members - I think all spoils get given to the team player who plays after the person who missed his turn). Also, all the troops/regions becomes that of the team member who gets all the spoils.

So basically, getting kicked out can sometimes be used by a losing team to actually win...............

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, which I probably am because this has only happened to me once since I started playing CC.

I just noticed that....the third turn just ended. It has made 1 person on the opposite team unbeatable AND he has a set to boot. that is just wrong...should turn neutral, just like in a single game.

Thanks!!

You should also consider that the team lost 3 times the drop of the player that missed his turns, and could not fort troops between the players for these turns. That is a severe disadvantage for the team. If also all troops of that player would have been turned neutral the team will alsmost certainly lose. That would be highly unfair for the remaining players who have no fault on the missed turns.
So to "help" the remaining players, they get the troops and spoils of the kicked-out player, so they still have a chance in the game.

When you see a player miss 2 turns, you should consider he might miss a 3rd turn also and prevent extra bonusses by "breaking them before they emerge".

^Agreed with Forza. Also, its very rare that a team wins after a teammember misses 3 turns, so most of the times its a fair thing that one player gets all troops/spoils.

PS: Had the person not missed any of his turns, do you think your team would had won? Or was the opponent team on the winning side before that one player started missing turns?

I think it would depend on the caliber of the player...One may turtle and give those 50 troops to someone who is aggressive, all his territories and a spoil..and all of a sudden you have set your defense to react to one player and the other player gets a ton of troops and you are all of a sudden out yourself.

Rules are rules...don't like them and would modify them. But will live with them. thanks guys for the help!! ;)
