How Does Foeing Work?

Postby Easy n Dirty on Wed Apr 18, 2012 11:38 am

Never foed anyone or bothered to figure out what it means, never been foed either as far as I know.

Reason I'm asking - I started a bunch of private games and invited players on a mailing list that I stumbled onto. One of them, a player I enjoy playing against (call him player A), has contacted me and told me that he cannot join some of them because someone else who has him "foed" joined in front of him (call him player B).

Is this really how it works? Feels like there's got to be a better way. So now I am precluded from playing with Player A, at least in these games, even though they are private games that I started? If Player A had joined first, would Player B be able to join after him? I guess it would depend if they had mutually "foed" each other?

I guess I can always go and delete Player B from future mailings, even though I have no personal beef with him - but that doesn't allow Player A into the games I have up currently.

That sounds like a logical deduction, but I have no idea how it works under the hood because I have never foed before (but I have been foed)

If someone has foed you then you cannot join a game that they are in.

You can join your foes games though. So if Player B had joined first and then Player A joined (assuming B did not have a foed) then they would have been able to play together.

You can join games your foe is in but they cannot join games you are in. (I think tournaments override this feature but maybe not)

Over 5000 games and never been foed? :o You must have the attitude of a saint!

Edit: Oh, it looks like you mainly play private games.. play against the wider mob on here and it'll soon happen - you don't even need to do anything wrong sometimes :D

This is worthy of being foed for! Make your own list ffs, don't steal others!!

Btw player A wouldn't happen to be Great-Ollie and player B concal would they?
