This however has no relation to sucking up to your leaders, this is just common sense people

:o

Oh no... not the medals!!!!!!!!

yes i said it, the one thing in life i live for... CC medals...

Unlike certain other clans on CC, we're not a clan built on a personality cult, where everyone needs to suck up to the leader or be shunned. Each of our members is free to voice his or her own opinions, even if they disagree with other members of the clan, even the leader.

? LOL, i found this line from natty very funny... is there actually any clans out there that players have to suck up to their leaders or fear them to even be in the clan? I don't believe it.

you will see more sychophants here in cc than any other game on the web.

I do not get it, but I have played and continue to play many games on the http://www... CC is unique in its % of kiss asses

and I should say that I do not particularly think Natty is a kissass... but lol they definitely exist here in cc.

Oh snap, I had no idea other clans were so egalitarian!

In KORT, everyone is required to send Bruce a monthly tribute consisting of one of the following (our choice):
1. Nude photos in a "scene" of his choice
2. A semi-precious gemstone
3. An exotic out-of-season fruit basket

We're also required to address him as "Sir", "Master", or "Your Magnificence" at all times.

if we don't, we're assigned to disciplinary level 1.... and that's not a place anyone wants to be, trust me on that one!!

And that's just to stay in the clan. You don't even want to know what it takes to get games.

Good thought, but I am not convinced by your argument.

Why do clans have to maintain some sense of solidarity in the public forums?

Yeah, that's the point exactly.

All right; you guys have me there... it's certainly not the only way for a clan to operate. I can't deny that fact.

But, I think that it's part of what makes being in a tight-knit clan so great - each member is willing to support one another through thick and thin, no matter how big a controversy may be. For instance, let's say that member of the clan has very strong opinions about another member's actions. If those opinions are particularly harsh and mean-spirited, I think it's better to deal with them privately, rather than humiliate a friend in the public forum. You would disagree with this, I presume?

All of the aforementioned has been presented in "black-and-white," of course; obviously, different situations call for different courses of action. Still, while there may be exceptions, I think this is a good rule to follow.

In my clan, jefjef makes everyone do his bidding. If we every question him, he makes us lose a game to him to keep his rating up. This has been weighing on me for a long time, but I didn't know if it was wrong or not. I'm glad I was able to share this today. Thanks for listening.

As to why clans tend to agree with each other in public, part of it is because there's a certain bias towards agreeing with people you know somewhat over the people you don't.
