Yeah, that's the point exactly.
All right; you guys have me there... it's certainly not the only way for a clan to operate. I can't deny that fact.
But, I think that it's part of what makes being in a tight-knit clan so great - each member is willing to support one another through thick and thin, no matter how big a controversy may be. For instance, let's say that member of the clan has very strong opinions about another member's actions. If those opinions are particularly harsh and mean-spirited, I think it's better to deal with them privately, rather than humiliate a friend in the public forum. You would disagree with this, I presume?
All of the aforementioned has been presented in "black-and-white," of course; obviously, different situations call for different courses of action. Still, while there may be exceptions, I think this is a good rule to follow.
