Conquer Club boycott

I'm afraid this boycott idea died with its proposal and originator. Many of us want some changes but it is a complicated issue and not easily resolved. This just looks like "I'm losing and am taking my ball home with me." I'm repulsed like many others with those who have made Conqueror. Mainly because I can't imagine wasting that much time trying to do it. Reading the posts of those who have is just icing on the cake. Seriously, almost none of us would want to be them. They must live some very pathetic lives. That's why I have come to the conclusion/realization that I don't care anymore. Conqueror means nothing. I once thought it did, but as a casual player. I play this game to kill time between work tasks. I have been visiting the forums for the same reason. I enjoy killing time playing and try to do the best I can in that time. I can't imagine dedicating myself to getting on top of the scoreboard unless I was a paraplegic and had no friends or family and never got out of my room. We players like to think we have a shot at being the best because of skill but the truth is so much of it is luck and always will be unless we find methods that optimize our chances to get to the top. That's what these goofy obsessed humans do. I no longer vilify them, I pity them. This goes for the forum rats as well. I'm sorry to judge but I will, the forums are filled with so many biased and intellectually challenged posters that those who are reasonably intelligent are washed away in the flotsam of stupidity. The same futile fight goes on in the forums for supremacy. I see arguments over the dumbest things and posters trying to assert control over what is said. The top ten list of posters that do this is easy to come up with. I now have great sympathy for the mods but also pity. Why waste your time doing this unless you get off on the authority or like hitting your head against a wall, repeatedly.

Is there any way GD can work out an every other weekend type thing to show that we still care for it?

And we dont want that other one back, there are enought GLG related bitch threads here already, KH finally created a new and amusing thread in GD and you OT people stole it from us.

Look... I read every one of owenshooter's posts and I therefore have it on good authority that amusing threads do not belong in General Discussion (what with the wiping out of the creativity of the various and sundry users by moderators, junior mint or otherwise).

Seriously though, if you want it back, I'll put it back.

I find myself completely enjoying and appreciating your posts! It's pretty cool how you take a variety and quantity of correctly spelled words, coherently arrange them in a way that they work in conjunction with each other, then structure them in poetic groups with punctuation in a way that makes sense and conveys your true opinions. Thank you!

I just think it would have been more personally meaningful to me if you had waited until after I posted some random drivel in this thread.

BRING BACK THE "HEY EVERYONE" THREAD! It's the only one that makes any real sense to me.

I think the poll should be "Yes|No" only. Otherwise you are leading people into answers and this is the first lesson lawyers are taught never to do :).
