What's your Attacker/Defender Dice Ratio?

Postby tahitiwahini on Wed Apr 18, 2007 3:57 pm

I have a question for those players using the Conquer Club Dice Analyzer (which can be obtained from the Utilities thread by the way):

What is your Attacker/Defender Dice Ratio?

Simply open your Dice Analyzer and find your Overall stats section:

Attacker threw 17966 dice.
Defender threw 8769 dice.

A/D Dice Ratio = 17966 / 8769 = 2.049

If you're interested in participating, please post your results to this thread.

Thanks!

How do I use it? I've downloaded it and see it in my menu on the left but if I select it, I tells me that it can't find the game. If enter one of my active games and click the Dice Analyzer button, nothing happens.

It doesn't always get focus for some reason, meaning it's probably hiding behind all the other stuff on your screen. My advice is minimize everything on your desktop and you might just find Dice Analyzer hiding behind something.

No dice (pardon the pun). I have it open on my screen and open games, hit the general stats button, nothing seems to work.

I should also add that when I click the dice analyzer button, the analyzer window sort of blinks but it still shows zeros.

Well, I'm gobsmacked and flummoxed.

Let me see if I understand the situation.

You've used the Dice Analyzer before, but now it doesn't seem to be working?

You click on Dice Analyzer under the Personal Menu and it opens the Dice Analyzer window, but there's no information in the Dice Analyzer window?

If the answer is yes then I suggest you close the Dice Analyzer window. Try clicking on the Dice Analyzer item under the Personal Menu again. If it's still no dice (that's your fault, I would have never stooped to such a pun myself), then I suggest closing the Dice Analyzer again and restarting Firefox, and then trying the Dice Analyzer again.

If that doesn't work, then I'd be inclined to uninstall your current Dice Analyzer and install it again from the link in the Utilities thread. To uninstall, right-click the red smiling greasemonkey icon, left-click on Manage User Scripts.... Click on Dice Analyzer and click on the Uninstall button, then OK.

Good luck.

There is no luck, only preparation and execution.

Attacker threw 6393 dice.
Defender threw 3277 dice.

However I play across 2 different PC's (occasionally a third too)...

17245/8803= 1.958

so statistically I have a 66% of winning?
17245+8803=26048

17245/26048=0.662

That's not so bad after all.

i really don't see the point here.

the ratio will be between 1 and 3.

2vs1 ratio 2
2vs2 ratio 1
3vs1 ratio 3
3vs2 ratio 1.5

it's fairly obvious the ratio will be somewhere around 2 unless you're a freak and attack only 2vs1 or 3vs1 to get extreme results.

I thought A/D Dice Ratio might indicate something about a player's playing style, willingness to engage in risky attacks, etc.

I thought it would be desirable to have a higher A/D Dice Ratio, but if anything the A/D Dice Ratio seems to have a negative relationship to a player's score.

So thanks for participating, but it seems there's nothing to see here.
