People fighting and winning wars without anyone dying.

Thousands of competetive people playing games together with only moderate non-game disagreements.

There are plenty of examples of more than moderate, complete with threats of violence an possibly death.

I have no doubt that if everyone in CC was living in the same town, there would be much violence and possibly murders.

However, the reason local politics and college politics and arguably CC politics are so heated, is because the stakes are so very low.
