At his current score of 21, we can't lose any points by losing a game unless he loses to a winning player with a score of less than 840.

(21 / n) * 20 <= 0.5, point at which he will lose 0 points due to rounding

solving for the winner''s scrore yields: n >= 840

So if simtom joins a game where all his oppnents have scores of 840 or higher it's pointless for everyone. Pointless for simtom because he can't lose any points in the game. Pointless foeryone else because he will never take a turn, just deadbeat.

The formula itself would allow simtom to reach zero (in fact considering partner games it's even possible for him to go negative) except for the fact that the game developers have coded a failsafe that prevents a player's score from dropping below 1.

if simtom reached one point then you would have to have a score of 40 or less to win points from him.

Yes, when simtom reaches a score of 1 you can still win points from him, at least according to sully.
