New doubles game

Postby Willy! on Sun Jun 12, 2011 3:18 am

Hey all, it's Willy! :D

I had a question I needed the answer to and so I wandered around in the forum and came upon the questions and answers forum...seems like the right place to inquire. Is it ok within cc guidelines to start a team game knowing that you will not be able to take all of your turns?

The situation is that I have a partner who would love to start a double cricket match with me, they usually last about 9 rounds or so. I leave for a little trip on the 19th of June, giving me just about enough time to take a little more than half of my turns. Knowing in advance I won't be able to finish out the game, is it ok for me to play it anyways?

Any information would be great, don't wanna get in trouble!!

could you not wait till you come back. sitters are for when you are not able to take shots what you are effectivly doing is starting a game with no intention of playing it all. most players lower there games when they no they are going away.

yes it is okay, however I heavely advocate to NOT start that game. if you should miss turns, your fellow players will grumble a lot, maybe foe you and give you a bad rating. and they are allowed to do that too. in general do not start games you do not intend to finish.

Eddie replied hat you can hav a temporary account sitter on your account, if you want that. it has pro's and cons. the short is, you should not mkae games you know you cannot finish
