I really don't like to disclose the content of PM's but this was part of the response i received from a member of the C&A team. They are welcome to come forward if they wish, but i will not be disclosing that information.
To me this is very telling of the situation i find myself in, because i said i was going to "legally point dump" (because people don't seem to understand what this means to me, i define this as playing games that you know you will lose points playing in the long run) instead of saying i was going to just switch the types of games i was playing, I was given this warning.
Well, it is cool that you somewhat helped bring attention to the point dumping issue. I think its been an interesting discussion, and in general, I really dont think any time should have put into your case, when as I showed, we have an entire page of point dumpers, and have always had pages of point dumpers which are allowed to continue with no efforts of management to stop unless someone makes individual cases out of them, which is kind of ridiculous.
What is unfortunate, is you really did a sloppy job of making your point, and since you were essentially only warned, meaning...be careful about what you're doing because it seems like you might be breaking the rules...it really is hard to defend that there was absolutely no reason for the warning. Again, I fully defend your right to choose your games, regardless of your score, but given some of your statements, and the manner in which you played some of the games, it simply makes it impossible to say a warning was completely unwarranted, because honestly, you were openly pushing the limits, and more importantly, did a sloppy job of it. I think it was a complete waste of time to pursue it, but realistically, given the full situation, its not really that surprising.
I do think it highlighted for everyone, the issues of game choice, real point dumping, and I think many learned from it. Its very obvious most everyone, is very passionate about protecting rights to choose games, regardless of potential damage to score. However, many are also passionate about not purposefully losing games, and unfortunately that is a complicated issue, and always will be, and you strayed too close to the line, and in my personal opinion, foolishly so. I wish you did a slightly better job of it, but its very possible had you done a better job of it, its very possible you wouldnt have been warned in the first place....but thats conjecture at this point.
