Sure.
Make sure you read the instructions tab; a lot of questions are answered there..
Spoils are the cards you get at the end of a turn if you successfully conquered a country. You can play a game with no spoils, in which case the below does not apply
Spoils are given to you in a random order. Each spoil has a colour, either green, red or blue. A set is either 3 spoils of the same colour or one of each. You can ALWAYS make a set with 5 spoils. Spoils also have a region name on them. If you have armies on that region, you get an extra +2 armies deployed on that region when you cash in a set of spoils.
You cash in spoils by having a set and then ticking the boxes in front of the spoils at the start of your turn. You can never hold more then 5 spoils so you can also cash in midturn if you finish someone off and take his spoils and get 5 or more spoils in total.
There are 3 types of spoil games, where nuclear actually does not give bonuses but instead destroys all troops.
Spoils
Escalating groups are worth 4,6,8,10,12,15,20... (i.e. the first group of spoils turned in by any player is worth 4 troops, the second group is worth 6, etc.)
Flat Rate groups are worth 4 for red, 6 for green, 8 for blue and 10 for mixed.
Nuclear groups are not worth any troops. Instead, each region in the group is nuked to a single neutral troop (even if you own it!).So you also loose the +2 extra bonus, instead the region is turn into a 1 neutral.
