How to create a SoC tournament style?

Postby General Roy on Thu Dec 23, 2010 4:11 am

I thought I'd create some 5 or 6 SoC games for instructional purposes - where it says "password: society" in the heading. But where do I go to create these games, and how do I do so?

When I go to the Tournament forum, I only find "join a tournament" etc., but no "host a tournament", so I feel kind'a stuck.

I see that a lot of people do know how to create these tournaments, but I still would like it to be a little easier to find where to create it.

read this page for all your tournament questions. its from the tournament forum.
viewtopic.php?f=90&t=93398

also, if you want to make private games, you can add a password, but (EDIT:) YOU CANNOT add a discription.
If you want to host a tourny, you will have to post in the tourny forum with a tourny you want to set up

EDIT: YOU CAN ONLY ADD DESCRIPTIONS WHILE MAKING TOURNAMENT GAMES FOR WHICH YOU HAVE RECEIVED TOURNAMENT RIGHTS

You can't add descriptions to private games, and you can't run a private tournament for SoC members using tournament privileges. The current SoC privileges are a special circumstance.

Actually I was thinking of the open SoC games that are created like tournaments, where one included "password: society" in the subject line.

Guess I will do it the oldfashioned way, create one game at a time, without indicating that it's meant as a training game for the Society of Cools.

Yep, it's not possible.

What about the SoC games that have been created on those lines in the near past, then? For instance:
"Tournament Game: Society of Cooks Basic Terminator - Redman Game - Password Society"

Those are official games where only the SoC leaders have access to make them. It's similar to what clans are currently doing: using the tournament system until they have their own system built.

Thanks. I have to stick to the oldfashioned way, then.
