alliance question

Well, I've got two questions.

-Is this the correct place to post this?
-I noticed this in the rules for leaving feedback: "Jack and Jill never attacked each other and left their mutual borders undefended for the duration of the game, without announcing any alliance."
Are you allowed to ally with someone via PM?

this is the correct place...second of all, you can set it up by PM, but you have to announce it in chat...and its common courtesy to work it all out in the chat, but not required

I find it VERY bad taste to ask for an alliance by PM.
don't ever ask one of me by this fashion as it will automatically be denied and likely will place you on my ignore list.
