alliance breaking in Team games

Once your team have beaten down the other, are you supposed to war over the board? Can there only be one winner?

No, it's just as if you're treating each time like 1 person divided up in two armies. Think of the team as one person in a standard game, as long as that one person is left with no enemies, they win.
