My nephew recommended to me that I post this message, just for clarity. He got me into this Conquer Club thing, because he knew I love Risk. I think getting to play other "real" players is AWEsome, as compared to playing an AI player on the PC game. Well, my husband is the one that initially got me into Risk at all (the classic board game, and then we bought the PC game, Risk II). So, since we both love Risk, he created an account for himself, as well. And my son is now really getting into it, so he wanted an account too.
I read the rules carefully, and it states that more than one person can play from the same computer, they just recommend that you do it in a doubles game, rather than 2 people on the same computer entering into a non-partners game. So, that's what we did. My husband (username Lutra) and I play doubles games together. And my son (Speedy Gonzalez) and I do also. Now, my son is currently living with his father, my ex-husband, and he doesn't allow him to get on the computer a lot, which is crap frankly. I discussed it with him first (creating an account), so that he would know that if my son misses his turns, he'll be kicked out of games, and also tick a lot of people off in the meantime. So, it was crucial that he be allowed to check up on the games at least once a day. He agreed to that. And then, of course, being the jackass he is (that's why we're divorced), he doesn't let him do it, and so I take turns for him when he can't get online.
Some people might not like that we all have an account and play these games together, but we all love Risk, so why should only one of us get to play? The only advantage we have in a partners game is that we're sitting next to each other while discussing strategies. Other partners also get to discuss their strategies, they just have to type it, whereas we get to speak it out loud.
At any rate, I've only been asked once if we were a multi-account. So, not too many complaints so far. Just wanted to post the info that we are family members each with our own accounts. Mine is premium and I play in many more games (because I don't work full-time), and my husband chose to just have the free account and only play doubles with me. My son's account is also a free one, and until his father allows him more time on the computer, I don't see that changing to a premium account any time soon.
Have a good day, all. Sorry for the novel, I tend to be very verbose.
