Yep. on a team game of mine, we decided it was the best bet to wipe out both of my other team members to take the win.. here is the game number:

I have often done it on escalating quad games where they are easily killable. Its a very good strategy to consider... just make sure its the best option or you could tick your teammates off :P

yep it is very good especially in esc games or if your team mate is going to be taken out and you don't have enough troups to save him. but i always tell him via pm first so the team know what i am about to do.

Done it on more than one occasion to secure the win.

But would do it under different circumstances too. If your teammate is beyond saving, giving the opponents 3-5 cards, and it's easy for you to take your teamate out first, why on earth not? Ofc it helps if you know your teammate and (s)he is somone that understands the necessity of the move.

why the hell would you do that? What do you gain by losing a teammate in a no spoils game? (this is of course assuming you're not getting some huge bonus by eliminating them, but that is rare)

The no spoils post was probably sarcastic.

But I have done it in Quads Flat spoils. A teammate was weak and had 2 or 3 cards. We would rather they stay on our team. It was a really close game at the moment.

Often. esc quads rely on the ability to do this.

Only done it once so far, and it was risky at the time.

Sure, but almost never in flat rate. In escalating, it's quite a viable strategy. If you value your teammate, make sure he (she) agrees to the idea first. Smarter teammates will suggest it, if taking their cards means you'll be able to wipe your opponents. If taking your teammate out won't enable you to take out an opponent - or eradicate strongly massed forces - then don't. On the other hand, if the opponent is about to take your mate out, you do it first, or else!

No, taking out a teammate is a horrible idea. They are on your team!
