Changing your country in CC

Is there anyway to change your country on your profile
My current status says im from the UK even though I'm Irish
anyone know of a way to change this?

CC bases your country information on your ip address, so unfortunately you can't change it without changing your ip address.

but if your country is WRONG, file a e-ticket thingy (under help, at the bottom of the page), I'm pretty sure the higher ups will fix the problem. You could also file a bug report (in the general section of the forum)

See the problem is I live in NI
but see myself as an Irishman lol
so is it still possible I could get it changed to Ireland?

idk, i doubt it but I suggest starting a thread in bug reports, some mod will post there and tell you

The flag cannot be changed... there's this database of IP nationalities that CC uses to get the flag based on the IP, and CC cannot influence it... I can't remember the name of the database but perhaps a mod will help there. Perhaps you can then contact them and ask them to change your IP information...

6. My country flag is wrong. Can I change it?

Your country is determined automatically by looking up your IP address in a GeoIP database. It isn't meant to reflect your nationality. Furthermore, the database is only 99% accurate so some members may show an incorrect location. Unfortunately there is no way to override your country flag.
