Not like us folks from Northern Ireland or the Republic, who are constantly blowing eachother up. A nice bit of rioting and we're front page news everywhere again! Thankfully, that seems to be almost finished now - we can live in peace at last (or so it seems!) - I still can't believe the DUP and Sinn Fein will do this deal!

To what do you attribute the progress and promising outlook for Northern Ireland? Is any of it due to an improvement in the economic prospects of the country?

I think I understand what you are saying and I think that the answer is no. To be perfectly honest, without England, we people from N.I. would be struggling a hell of a lot in the world. The progress has been made because of compromises - the extremists have finally decided to work with each other (whether this will follow through is yet to be seen) and the IRA scum don't have enough support anymore. (Neither do the UVF, UFF or any other paramilitary organisation.) Resistance is now less frequent and less violent. Things are looking a lot more rosy than they once did. Does that answer your question?

I'm not from Northern Ireland. My ethnic background is much more peaceful, it's Serbo-Croatian.
