CC dice rely on a data sheet. I assume that instead of accessing the sheet for 1 row of data at a time for each button press, auto-attack just keeps going until the target is dead or the attacker has less than 4 armies.

Attacking with greater armies does mean you have more chances to win but it also means you have more armies to lose.

To be fair though you really should only use auto-attack when you have to take that country. If you think you might stop before the end then you shouldn't use it.

to answer the question that the title asks, its as reliable as clicking attack over and over. it still uses the same random dice generator it just does it over and over.

The trick is to do normal attacks till you get a 2-0 roll then do auto attack quickly...run that streak of good luck. Works for me anyway

I don't believe that that works.

personally i dont use it cos sometimes i might only want to risk 4 or 5 men, not the whole bunch, i only use it if im pretty certain of winning and i have a massive army against 1 man

Really useful for finishing off escalating games, I find.

i agree with you on that one! man, i have this one game that i need to finish off sonn because it's like 15 armies vs. 10 and it's getting annoying. i cant wait to see the true power of the auto attack

Yeah i prefere not to use the auto attack to soon, because i might want to change my mind abbout the attack.
Other wise when i have a situation that ihave enough army's aganst a very weak army it save's me some time.
So far i risk and had not manny bad luck on my auto-attack's.
(see 64440); one of my first and longest CC game.

Auto attack is for the winner!

odds

Postby Stargazer on Sat Oct 07, 2006 1:14 pm

super steve wrote:for me, it really depends...i almost always have extremely good or extremely bad luck. once i had like 13 attack a 2 and i lost all of em [down to three, which i ended up lsing the remaingin two, also] and a few similar situations, but a few times when i feel like being risky, like once i had 3 and i attacked a 9, and won, etc.

so i guess thats pretty much whateveryone else has said. personally, i hardly ever use autoattack because often i dont want to risk going down to two or three armies. thats the bottom line. if you don't like it, don't use it. although theoretically it should have normal odds, and it doesnt for you, then just dont risk it, and attack maually.

Yeah i better keep track on those odds, in fact its guessing but after auto-attact, you have no controle anny more, otherwise you can brake off the attack, thats still the way i prefere so thats why i voted no!

i tihnk it shoudl sotp if you lose liek 3 in a row, or something since i had 24 guys, i attacked 8, i lost 18 guys!! it gives you no warning if you start losing a bunch. normally i woudl ahve stopped attacking by then. (maybe say auto-attack unil a certain amount of guys, not jsut a default of 3)

mabye we can ask lackattack to add a progam that has a dropbox that lets you choose the amount of armies you are willing to lose, that way, you wont lose like fifty armies, becuase i noticed that a lot of people say that they only want to risk 5 armies or so.

okay here we go..... if you have 30 men, going against 10, there is an excellent chance your going to get it, so no matter what your going to get rid of it, so clicking auto attack would save a lot of time, or if you have a lot of extra men from a turn in, and its like 40 to 1, you might lose the first one-3 times, this way it makes you just get it over with an win it, i love auto attack

i loathe it. 8 v1, 17 v 3, 10 v1, 21 v 4, are all a few examples of what i have lost to the auto-attack. it furiates (sp?) me to no end, and yet... i find myself oddly drawn to using it in almost every game....

and quick question- how the hell can the poll only add up to 99%?? yea, rounding and that crap, but it should be rounding up and down, not just down....

here's why i use it. when i have armies of 7 against 7 on a slow computer, i want to speed it up. also, if im on a losing streak sometimes its better. i find that regular attack is just as streaky, if not more, than the Auto attack
