it can be turned off if yeti codes an option like:

blink update: [on] [off]

or if he completely removes the blinking.

but i wouldn't like either of the 2. completely removing it is bad because the vast majority wants to know when a new update is available.

and adding another option is also bad because the bob menu is already really big.

your best solution would be to ask yeti to show you where the red color is placed in the code. then replace that red with black so it will blink from black to black and appear still.

edit the script, find the following line, and comment it out (i.e. insert two slashes at the beginning of the line). to edit the script, right-click on the monkey in the corner then right-click BOB from the menu that pops up.

change from:
Code: Select all
upgrader.innerHTML = "<span class='countdown-alert'>Update Available</span>";

to:
Code: Select all
// upgrader.innerHTML = "<span class='countdown-alert'>Update Available</span>";
If you're not using Clickable Maps, you're wrong.

Enable/Disable different features?

Postby sanosuke on Sun Jan 27, 2008 11:02 pm

Is there a menu on this where I can enable and disable certain aspects of it? Example: I'm still pretty much a newbie, and there's some features I really don't need/want that clutter up the space between the map and the chat area...which I noticed grows every turn I get.

This has great aspects to it which I'm sure will come in handy later when I get better and go premium or what not, but right now there's only 2 or 3 features I'd like to keep and disable the rest.

Thanks!

Color blocks on the troop info?

Postby I Like Soup on Mon Jan 28, 2008 1:37 am

So, am I totally a slow or does the new version of Bob make the map inspect info with troop totals, etc. look like blocks of color that make the information unreadable?

Thanks for all the work on this scrip Yeti! =D>

howdy, i'm getting doubled slightly offset army numbers in this new bob, it looks a bit like another number shadowing the one on top, not a biggy but i'd thought i'd mention it.

TBH Wicked - you probably need the latest version now that the colours have changed...

There's been no change to this code - If you're getting this you will need to adjust your "map align" controls in the menu on the left.

You're gonna have to provide better info than that I'm afraid...

Probably a better "fix" would be to change the line too
Code: Select all
upgrader.innerHTML = "Update Available";

Which means that you can see when an update is available - but you don't get the flashing red.

With the new update, the clock disappears when theres less than 1 minute left in the round. It re-appears for a second when i click refresh.

I don't see it being mentioned in the updates section and it's extremely annoying so i assume its a bug?

Yeah - I've got a fix for this in 4.1.11

Actually - not a bug in the latest - been a bug since I "fixed" the red clocks last time!!

I'm not sure - how many times has it asked you to upgrade - and what version are you on now?

Right - Clickable Maps is now V2.4...

Not sure if i'm in the right place for this but here goes. On the new colour scheme on map inspect the squares around the colours of pink? light blue grey and white are different colours. Also in the drop down menu for where to deploy your territories the pink? and light blue are still the old way around. This is the same for the attacking and fortification drop downs aswell. Not sure if its the same for the grey and white.
