I have got a slight problem after I installed the new version GM and Bob. Now even when the confirm actions option is OFF, it still asks me to confirm. When I turn it on, it asks me twice to confirm. Only the recent Bob is enabled.

Thanks!

I can only assume that you have 2 versions running concurrently...

Remove the old one and then retest.

Yeti,

Is there any chance we could get a Battle Royale option to condense dead players, or perhaps add a scroll bar to them as well?

As you can imagine - that's fairly low priority!!!

they wouldnt do that. BR would lose its greatness and appeal if it was a regular thing per day/week/ or per month.

Which is why BOB will likely not see that one for a bit...such a small percentage...me thinks.

OK, so I cleared my cache quit and restarted Firefox yet Bob still seems to have issues for me.

Basically, I can't actually make moves when it's enabled. I enable it, look at the stats, decide what I want to do, but then have to turn off greasemonkey, leave the game, come back to the game, make my moves, turn it back on, leave and join again if I want to see any Bobbish stuff and then repeat as needed.

Any insight here?

Age Of Realms: Magic

Postby Angus Khan on Wed Jan 23, 2008 6:53 pm

There seems to be a counting bug on this map, versus say USApocalypse, since the Magic map subtracts armies when you are on frostbit terits. Actually I don't have an active USApocalypse map going right now, so can't tell, but have several Magic maps going, and it doesn't add the negative numbers at all. Could be a problem in the XML map or the logic has changed or?

BTW Yeti, thanks for the PM about upgrading, but you're so darn fast by the time I got the courage up to beta test it, you already had the new version posted! :)

Problems

Postby rondosocal on Wed Jan 23, 2008 7:48 pm

I recently lost Bob so I reloaded Grease Monkey & Bob. I have all features but all game controls below the Game Log are dead. I have no chat & can not move play history back at all. Any ideas. Also if I use the countdown clock all my text jumps up and down a space or two constantly.

Ok. I've cleared my cache, made sure I only have one BOB, and it still isn't working.

I get a little thing that pops up and tells me "undefined"
I have to turn off greasemonkey and reload the page to take turn.

Got any suggestions?

Which game and which BOB version are you running? The version is to your left in blue where it says BOB Menu.

Classic, and it says v: 3.5.1 on my game and v: 4.1.6,
just v: 4.1.6 on the menu while I'm in the forum.

What GM scripts do you have installed. there are a few really old [pre-BOB] GM scripts that had that feature (but these script features have all been incorporated into BOB ever since BOB it became the must-have do-all script that made it so popular!)

But BR is the exception to the rule. For 99% of the games, it's just fine listing them out without the scroll wheel. An on/off toggle should suffice (unless you've already included it and I didn't pay attention).

At the mo it's always on...

I don't want any more options in the menu... so I either

a) Leave as is
b) Add scrolling

C.

Assuming it doesn't take any extra time to load a page, I think that having it always on is okay, but I think maybe it would be better if it were beneath the game chat input box.... that way you would never have to scroll thru it unless you wanted to look at it.

Also... even if you don't want to crowd the menu, you could have it default on, but put an on/off option/value in the XML like all the options for this script (I think pre-"BOB".. maybe "Robert's Mods") were way-back-when  . Just reminding you of that possibility.

You have 2 versions installed - you need to remove the 3.5.1 version.

Hi Angus,

Actually I think you've missed the complexity of this feature...

Whilst the Continents display will show which of your territories have negative decay... the TB stat - only counts territories where it will be taken into account... so...

If you have a -1 decay and you have 1 army on it - then that will not be counted...

Similarly - if you have a -10 decay with a 4 on it - this will only count as a -3.

how about some more accurate territory calculations in FOW. right now BOB only calculates territories that are visible to me where the log tells me exactly how many territories each person has. klupar has a Fog Analyzer gm script but the interface needs some lovin' http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/18465

perhaps he would let you use his code as a base to build on.

keep up the great work!

It is, is that a problem?
If so.... is it because the two aren't compatible, or something is wrong with clickable maps?
