It's a new one - only been in since this week... it works better if you use large maps - if you use small - them most of the maps you have to scroll the players area out of the way first!

I think this is BOB related, as it appeared when the forum consolidation piece was added. When I click on a link to an individual post, I am sometimes put into a different area of the page. I believe the page is still reacting as if all of the medals where there for the location of the post, since BOB affects the page after it is loaded. Would it be possible to adjust where on the page a direct post link brings you?

Example: This should be yeti's last post on page 100 of this thread. When I load the link, I see the last post on the page, not yeti's. Link

dito, it is not really a bug. I mean, it is and it isn't. It was an oversight and an unintended consequence. But, it will not be able to be solved until there is a new update, so I thought it should go in development.

I'm afraid it's kinda tricky to do this - I may be able to rejump to the correct anchor though - I'll have a look and see if it's possible.

Yeah I'm having a problem downloading Ajax Bob on my computer, I am using Firefox 3.0 but I just got it, it wasn't letting me download with any of them. Here's what my computer said:
Script: C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/Desktop/13076.user(3).js
Line: 786
Char: 3
Error: Object expected
Code: 800A138F
Source: Microsoft JScript runtime error

Do you have Greasemonkey installed on your FF?

C.

PS - are you using FF - that errortext looks very much like an IE report?!

could BOB possibly include the ability to scroll your mouse cursor over the map legend (where it says oceania 2, etc, etc) and it highlight the territories which constitute the bonus on the map? possibly for maps where it says own 3 flags (out of 5 or so, etc) it would highlight the given territories but have a circle around it, etc. not sure how difficult this would be and if it would require the xml coding done while making maps to be changed or what. thanks

Nope - BOB doesn't know where this legend is - thus it cannot know when you are hovering over it.

I have recently added the "Continent Overview" that you can turn on in View Options - that replicates this functionality - but you have to hover over the names in the list.

I might suggest that we add another game sorter- one with which we would have the ability view primarily joined team games. This would eliminate the hunt, currently bothersome, necessary to find one's pards for communicating strategy and such. Also, we could really use active games list time sorter- to where one could reverse the order by which the current active games are listed. This would list the games with the most recently finished moves at the top of the page. Currently in order to see the most recent moves, one has to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page for each game- which sometimes leads to no news or somewhat never-ending news...

It's been a couple years since I was last here- glad to be back!

it means that you are using internet explorer. you MUST use Firefox. and have the greasemonkey extension installed.

I am sure many people said it before me, but I am also sure it doesn't hurt to say again.

I downloaded both Firefox and AJAX BOB yesterday and installed them. Awesome! Well done for the good work!

Every month or so I log in and find the large map inoperable. It shows only the armies and not the countries. Conquer Club tells me it is fault of the script(s) I am using and suggested I disable them. I would like to try and disable BOB and then reload it to see if that works. Any suggestions?

Occasionally I get that - if you refresh the page the map should come back!

I don't know where to go for help. I use Firefox + grease monkey + BOB & my large map shows only number of armies. It used to display properly but every month or so it fails like this. Small map still works but is frustratingly hard to read.

You can turn them off in the left hand menu.

Not having any experience with coding (in the last 10 years), I have no idea if this is possible or not, but it would be quite handy if Bob could somehow take a snapshot automatically when a game (with fog) starts. That way, if I don't notice a game starting, right away, I could still see the beginning layout.

I've started to play a few speed games recently. In speed games you obviously need speed. But when i have BOB on, then it slows me down very much. So i always have to turn it off to keep my speed at a maximum. Though, when i dont have BOB on. Its easy to make a mistake when considering territory count, army count and such things.

So..

How about a BOB Lite? Which only contains Territory Count and Army count. I ain't good with coding a such things. But only having these 2 would make things much faster, even when you have BOB enabled.

I'm sure this suggestion already has been given.. i just wanted to remind/push it furter. So it perhaps will come :)

Thanks

I like what moose is saying, but how about a way to have BOB recognize settings for speed games and regular games.
