Anyone Else have BOB broken since the new server?

Postby Angus Khan on Thu Dec 20, 2007 5:46 pm

I've been chasing this for several days now. After a lot of futzing around, I've determined that the most egregious problem (having to hit refresh after every action) seems to be associated with BOB running.

As it is, BOB only works halfway I get the stats and the map inspect but no BOB menu on the left. Here is what Firebug says:

c has no properties
updateMagicMap()greasemonkey.js (line 3518)
(no name)(Object)greasemonkey.js (line 1575)
[Break on this error] undefined

Anyone else see this, any ideas?

I needs my BOB now, can't function without it (can't function with it either...)

go in to the game, disable greasemonkey, then go to a game, and turn the colors thing off. Then go and turn greasemonkey on and then go reload the games and you don't have to hit refresh any more.

Oh, and get BOB 3.0 to work with 8 player games.

I read this on a thread did it and it worked.

i am a bit lost too.....i have searched the forums and tried many things but my games simply will not work unless i turn BOB off...the screen freezes and this refresh thing doesnt seem to work. I am not that computer savvy so i am hopefully waiting for one of you whiz kids to come up with some patch or newer version of BOB.

(i have the colorblind version of BOB...maybe thats the problem?)

There is something horribly wrong with using BOB and the new server software IF colorblind is turned on. The only fix is to go to the My Settings link on the left under Personal Menu and turn off "Colour Codes"

i've had similar problems--even without bob. when that happens to me, i just leave the game (click on 'my games' or something), and then come back in.

BOB works fine with colorblind off but still whacky with the color codes on. Still having to hit refresh after each action. I must admit i am a little lost without those color codes but thanks for all your work on this and all other CC related add-ons. I am sure it will all work out eventually. :)

Have you the latest version?

Can you explain your problems better?

Also - can you goto

Tools -> Error Console -> Errors

Then copy n paste everything in there to here?

Yeti, the new fixes seem to have done the trick, the colorblind was breaking like this (from Firebug):
c has no properties
updateMagicMap()greasemonkey.js (line 3532)
(no name)()greasemonkey.js (line 3668)
handleResponse()game.js (line 303)
(no name)()greasemonkey.js (line 983)
[Break on this error] undefined

Now that you've fixed (c??) that error seems to have gone away. I am now up to 3.02 - I can't be positive yet because I don't have a game with an active move at present so can only check for the firebug error (or lack thereof).

Good work on the new updates! You're the Bobinest!
