AJAX BOB - 1 Play at a time

Postby HailCaesar on Mon Feb 04, 2008 9:57 am

If i enable the AJAX Bob script (4.1.10) I cannot take multiple actions. For example, if I deploy 2 armies, i have to leave the map and re-enter to deploy the next 2. This is a fairly new development. A couple weeks ago everything was working fine. Problems started about the same time I started seeing a new clock.

The creator of BOB wrote:OK so I assume you have BOB installed - and that you have a monkey in the bottom right hand corner...

1st thing you need to check - is to see if you have more than one BOB...

So right click on the monkey and select "Manage User Scripts" - if you have more than one BOB - the best thing to do is just remove both and download the latest again. (remove by selecting and clicking uninstall)

Once you have the latest reinstalled - see if things are working...

If they are not - then you have some cached data...

OK there are 2 different caches to attempt to clear.

Tools -> Clear Private Data -> Select "Cache" & "Download History" -> OK

Tolls -> Options -> Network -> Advanced -> "Clear Now"

Now retest...

If this is still failing - then we have to go the really slow route...

goto http://www.conquerclub.com/maps

Open each XML file in turn - and press CTRL F5... This will ensure a refresh occurs on the XML.

If that doesn't work, check the AJAX BOB thread in here

PS - I feel a merge coming on...

Huh, I thought I had checked the scripts, but apparently not as I did have two of them installed. As instructed I deleted them and reinstalled and all is well.
