well i'll get strait to the point
me and a friend while playing risk have developed another way to play the game. after i found this site i thought that other players would also like this type of gameplay.
basically the game is played on a standard risk board each player starts off with one country, which is known as their capital. everything else is neutral with three or so armies on them. we had the starting armies for each player figured by everyone rolling all the dice, which it is all added up and averaged.
like if there was three players and they rolled a total of 43 the average of that would be roughly 14
so each player would start out with 14 armies. i don't know if this way can be done online if not each player could start with ten armies or something like that.
the number of neutral armies per territory is set up based on a picked card. anything bigger than the territory on the card gets two armies anything smaller gets one equal sized territories get two armies.
island territories get a +1 army bonus, and if your capital is an island you still get a bonus army.
the main change we made though is that all captured/defeated neutral troops go to you on your next turn as reinforcement troops.
for example if you take a country that had three neutral troops the beginning of your next turn you get those three troops added to your armies recieved.
if you attack a country with ten neutral troops and only kill/defeat two of them at the beginning of your next turn you get those two troops added to your armies recieved.
thats just a basic overview of the rules there are more that we had for the simple version of the game. we also came up with advanced rules. like after all players turns are over all neutral territories get one army added to them.
well thats basically it. please let me know if this type of game is something you would like and if you have any questions about this type of gameplay i would be happy to answer them.
