- Ceasefire in Freestyle Speed Games
Specifics:
- Enable an anonymous voting option in freestyle speed games to end the current phase. Unanimity among surviving players first ends the attack phase, then after another vote, the reinforcement phase. Players can vote and unvote as they see fit until everyone is voting for a ceasefire.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
- In large speed games, very often we see a round devolve into stalemate. Players cannot end their turn, because doing so may earn them spoils and make them a target for attack. Also, they might be waiting to see if someone else is going to try to wipe out a player in order to swoop in for the kill. This wait is especially egregious in games where several players have been killed in a round, making the wait upwards of ten minutes.
- By adding this feature, large *speed* games will be able to go much faster without an unnecessary wait that, if the vote is made unanimous, nobody by definition wants.
