Points Won/Points Lost

Concise description:

• On game page, somewhere, something telling you if the game were to suddenly end, how many points you would win, or how many points you would loose.

Specifics:

• Maybe attached to BOB in statistics
• Or have it as separate plugin

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

• Will allow people who are wondering to see how many points they will win or loose
• people will, after a while, get the hang of guessing how many points they will win or loose in a game before they join.

I hope this makes sense. I think it will be a good idea

Good idea. More stats, no real purpose, no real harm... ah. Refreshing.

Although I would suggest you stop caring about points. Makes CC more fun if you don't. An eagle steals mine every so often and flies off with them. Not sure why you would want to know how many you would gain or lose, but stats are always good, so I support this entirely.

and i always find it hard to support an idea that has massive grammatical flaws... anyway, stick it on BooB, i don't care because i don't use the cheat plugs. and i really find it amusing when 2 people agree and someone just thinks their idea should be implemented by the end of the day... sigh... again, as long as it is part of the cheat codes and add/ons, i don't really care one way or the other... interesting idea, if you care about points...-0

So if the game were to suddenly end and you win - fine, hypothetical points won can be easily calculated.
But if the game were to suddently end and you lose ... Who does win ? It will make a difference when calculating how many points you would hypothetically lose.
I guess you could be suggesting a table giving all the possible permutations but that could take up quite a lot of screen space dependant upon the number of players. As has been suggested such a feature would probably be better placed in a plugin.

you could have them horizontaly added to the statistics for bob, not sure what they layout would be like. Adding it as another plugin could also work. For points lost, it could give you all of the possibilites, maybe like "Players Name": lose 15, or Players name: 15 points, something like that. I'll try and come up with something on phtoshop, see what i can come up with

You realize this is the case only if one player wins. If another player, with a different score wins, it would be a lot different. He/she wouldn't gain as many points, thus the other players wouldn't lose as many, or the other way around. Like cicero said, you would need a large table, depending on the number of players. So I don't think it's a good idea, I think it's easier to just calculate the possible point gain/loss if you really care about them.

I think this is a good idea for BOB or another plugin. Not sure it makes sense to include in the site itself.

the names on the bottom with the points, means that if that player were to win, you would loose x amount of points, so if sailorseal were to win, you would loose 14 points, if cicero were to win, youd loose 17 points. Its not how many points every person will loose. If you get what I'm saying

why not put it in the right hand collumn where a list of the players, their cards and whether or not its there turn already is

oh ya, you could put next to everybodys name lose: 43, win: 125 or w/e. that might work. I'm not sure of the format, or where it should be put, but i just htink it should be somewhere

Re the bold part of Fipa's post as I've already said I agree.
Perhaps we should move this thread to the Plugins & Addons subforum?
If LED ZEPPELINER (as the original poster in this thread) requests it I'll move it there. Though of course to get anywhere you're going to need a tame script coder to help ...

I would move it, but i personally don't know how to code (yet) and i don't know if anybody wants to do it
