Concise description: Clarify the signature size rules regarding spoiler boxes.
Details: I know that the maximum signature size is 600x150.
But I also know that a spoiler box is much smaller than that, and can hold huge amounts of information within.
would we be able to extend our signatures to longer than 150px high if it was all contained in a spoiler box?
The box would keep it all hidden, so only people that actually click it will see all the information hidden in it.
So it technically wouldn't be violating the '150px high' rule, because the spoiler box, when closed, is only this big:
But look at how much information could be hidden inside. You could keep a ton of important information inside your signature, but it'd be nicely tucked away inside a box so it doesn't bother people that don't want to see it.
As sailorseal said, the signature size rule was made to prevent overly large signatures from making scrolling through the forums difficult. Spoiler boxes get around that rule because the information is hidden in that tiny box unless someone clicks it. And then they can just click the box again to hide the information, so the forums don't get cluttered up by big signatures.
This will improve: People need to know if they can include Spoilers in their signatures with lots of information in them.
