Change casual sequential clock

Concise description:
  • Change the clock in a sequential game so that it is the same as your opponents

Specifics:
  • When an opponent is playing the game, they have one hour to take their turn, and they have a clock which shows that.
  • The opponents do not see this one hour countdown, but rather they see the 24 hour countdown.
  • I would like to see everyone having that one hour countdown displayed
(I know you can look at the log to see when that hour is over, don't tell me that)

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • You will be able to see on you my games page, at the top of the list, what players are taking their turns.
  • In a fog game especially this will help, as the players will be able to keep a closer eye on what is going on in game.
  • People with long lists of a hundred games won't have to search the whole list to see if anyone is taking their turns

Why hasnt this been suggested in the past... Whatever happens with this, i want to see 'Opponent Time Left' somewhere on the game/map screen.

Once you voted, and/or commented, please pass this address/suggestion/vote onto other people please. I did my part, with 30 different messages given to people on msn.

I don't understand what you mean about being able to see on the My Games page what players are taking their turns. I can already see which ones are playing their turns. With that being said, I don't see how changing the clock will make any difference.

I get the idea. Please help me out with this.

When a huge list of games with say a quarter being active at anytime. By active I mean someone else taking their turn. Would it be possible that you skip over a game where it is your turn?

When a player has say, a hundred active games, it is more time consuming to try and find the games that are being played by an opponent. You, have no active games... if you had say 3 or 4, of course you can easily see when someone else is playing, this is a change that would benefit premium players.

Currently the 'active' games tab is divided into the games that you can take your turn in, and below are the games that it is not your turn. with the clock changed, the games that you could play would still be at the top of your list, but directly bellow that, would be all the games people are taking turns in, and below, games that no one is taking a turn in. So no, you would not miss your turns

I get more of the idea. Sorry to be pedantic but, again, please help me out with this.

Does this mean you really want the games sorted by
  • the games that you can take your turn in
  • then sorted by the games that it is not your turn, with the clock changed?

no problem, I never was good at explaining things :)

yes, they would be sorted that way...
the clock would not be changed unless the person is taking there turn, and when their turn is over, it would go to the back of the list like normal.

I always thought you could see what players are taking their turns.

I don't see why not...

This works in speed games in pretty much the same way :)

I've noticed this also, while this isn't a major issue it would still be nice to have.
