Freestyle bonuses

Concise description:
  • Troops are awarded at the start of the round in freestyle games rather than when someone begins their turn.

Specifics:
  • It is moronic to see someone get a huge bonus and then have it taken away in the 2 seconds it takes for someone with clickies to begin turn. If that person had clickies, they could hold down "b" too, or maybe their internet is slow.
  • Point being is that if you get a bonus, the fact that you are not fast enough to begin turn in 2 or even 1 second does not mean that you should not receive it.
  • There is also the annoyance of casual freestyle where people will delay the game for 10 hours just so that they can break your bonus while you are offline. (this made me stop playing freestyle when I was new to CC)
  • If you have to use BS tactics like that to break someone's bonus in a freestyle game and either abuse the fact that you have clickies and they do not or abuse the freestyle setting by making a game into a sequential one... I seriously believe those bonus troops should be given to the people.
  • At the beginning of the round, troops are awarded, then people begin turn and deploy them later.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • People without clickies will have a more fair time in freestyle of both sorts.
  • Eliminates the stalling in casual freestyle and the fact that people wait to have the other person go offline so that they can begin turn and take out their bonus while their enemy is not looking.
  • Overall gets rid of many of the tactics in freestyle which only make the game less fun.

I'm not liking for this Casual Freestyle games (why get a bonus when it's not your turn and you're not even online?) , but it does make perfect sense for Speed Freestyle games. (because you are there and online...you shouldn't lose out on bonuses for being a few seconds slower than someone with a some-what unfair advantage (please, let's not debate this detail).

Okay... even I can begin and deploy and attack in 2 seconds. Many of my friends here can do it in one. Are you saying that because you do not have clickies that I should be able to play you at freestyle without having you ever receive a bonus you took?

For casual... are you saying that the person who spends all day online should win just because he/she can always begin in time to get their bonus? Why shouldn't everyone have the same advantage of being able to collect their bonus troops even if they can't spend all day clicking "refresh"

I've played lany many times. But don't worry... he gets bad luck around me.

I'll admit, I'm not a fan of Freestyle Casual...too unfair to those who can't be online 24/7 (but who in the world can?)
But I'm looking as it's almost like a Sequential game, because chances are, not everyone will be on at the same time.

And I'm not quite sure what you mean to say (It's just me...I'm clueless)
But, since not everyone can have it, clearly someone might be at a disadvantage (I don't know anything about add-ons...I don't see any reason to use them myself...)

Not true.
Some add-ons are browser-specific.

Some users simply aren't allowed to download things, or simply just can't.

Me? I don't care...I see no reason to use them myself, so I don't.

FFS people... If you do not like how freestyle is played stick to seq. Period. In casual FS that is part of the game to wait and break a bonus or kill someone. In SPEED games it is all about speed, so suck it up or do not play.

Bruce, I actually know how to play freestyle and can maintain colonel easily by doing it. I am usually the person to break my enemy's bonus in 2 seconds not the other way round.

The reason I am making this suggestion is that it can be accomplished if you have a script or are willing to spend all day at the computer. Either way, seems like something which only some people are capable of, so why not make it all people and just get it over with?

If someone wants to wait around all day to do that, then this person should be rewarded. That wanted it more than the next guy. BTW this is not about me or you, but rather about the system. Nothing personal. :)
