preferred timezone option

Postby asdmin on Fri Feb 06, 2009 4:46 am

* Suggestion Idea:
New game starters shall (optionally) be able to specify a timezone range (the one was set +- N hours) in order to let only people from the same timezone into game.
* Why it is needed:
The problem is that CC is played around the world, but if a 6+ player game is played by players in different countries, the gameplay is rapidly slowing down. Although speed games are present, one would prefer a game having 3-4 turns a day instead of continuously sitting before the computer or having a turn once in 2-3 days.

if you play a bunch of games you'll be fine because you will have a game or two a day

IMHOt i's easier to maintain someone's attention on 4-10 games rather than 40-100. Plus it would feel like games are advancing...

Thanks for the advice, but I'm over it. If someone is not 7/24 at the "screen", freestyle games make you a looser.
As I said my idea is about having mates from the same timezone to speed things up a bit, but neither as much as speed games, nor as unfair as freestyle games.
