Mercenary..Definition: Hired for service in a foreign army.
Concise description:
you get men that you have attacked ... if i attack 3 and take those men i start off with 6 men next round ..."Mercenary"
would be a assassin / terminator type game where maybe 3 or more players ...
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
another type of game play

Elaborate a little soka ...
Are you saying, for example, that if I attack with 10 armies against a neighbour territory with 3 armies that if I take it then on my next turn I get an additional bonus of 3 on the neighbour territory?
If so, I don't think this is going to work ...
Another example, if I attack with 30 armies against a neighbour territory with 18 armies and I take it then on my next turn I get an additional bonus of 18 on the neighbour territory?
... if I've guessed right then this seems overly favourable to attackers?

yes or if you attack 6 , 4 , 5 you will get that amount ..due your next round
if you have 30 men in a single game and you take out 18 chances your going to win ... if its in 3 4 5 player game chances the next player has that amount of men or around that same amount to attack you and weaken you
it would be favorable to the attack, but you would have to be careful not to weaken yourself

I think the basic premise is good but the idea still needs to be developed.
Lower bonuses. SO that someone with an advantage doesnt auto win. How do you make it so that someone who doesnt get the first attack can also have a fair shake at winning the game?

first player always has the advantage ... whats to say 1st players dice suck or player 2 attacked on a diffrent side of a map and gets awesome dice and gets 5 men or 6
but then it should be a 3 person player type game like assassin / terminator

Interesting, interesting, you've got a seed of an idea here, expand on it a bit more.
My two pence worth: I'd say definately lower bonuses with a cap as well to stop someone going into attack overdrive and blitzing everything in sight knowing that they'll reap silly amounts of troops. That way they'd have to plan ahead like they would normally do in other game types.

No, I said lower bonuses, like only 1 for everyone 2 troops you kill(round down). Otherwise the attacker who gets the best rolls will just go attack mental! Then reap loads of troops on their next turn, this is why a cap would also be needed, to stop them attacking and attacking and attacking and attacking. Planning should always be part of the game, I like your idea, it just needs some fine tuning.....
EDIT: For some reason "part" was spelt "past", don't ask me how because I don't know.
