Setting a start time to freestyle games would end the advantage gained by the last player who enters - (s)he always goes first while the others are probably asleep.

The start time could perhaps be set by the person setting the game up?

It would make freestyle more attractive, then more people would take advantage of the quicker games you can play (i.e. minimum one turn each per day, as opposed to sequential where you might get one turn every six days!).

Perhaps the start time should default to the time the player setting-up does his set-up (i.e. 24/48/72 hours afterwards (depending how long recruiting the other players takes).

Freestyle is like that for a reason. You can play at any time. Do not like it, then play SEQ.

I like the suggestion, it will only even out the first round but still leaving the FS game mechanic intact. =D>

I do not think this is even an option. What would stop player 1 from creating it late so where only he would most likely be awake and on?This is only an advantage to player 1 as he sets the time most convenant for him not for everyone in the game!!!Nice try though!!

If it were such an obviously bad time, than no one would join the game, so Player 1 would have to set it at a better time to attract more players.

I think this is a great idea. It would even out round one, and might make it even more exciting. The way I see it, there are many people on the site who would set their clocks for their turns, no matter what time it is, day or night. The first round will probably see many players playing simultaneously.

Of course, this does put people who are less into CC, or cannot be available at game time at a disadvantage. But, I think that's just tough luck, and the solution for them is to not join games at bad times.
