nah. Would cost to much, shouting at cc is free

Do you adopt the same stance on 'education would cost too much' and 'being an idiot is free'? It would make perfect sense in your case.

Flame in FW, Frop.

Otherwise, until you are a mod, I would hush.

i have to agree, waiting for an answer is very frustrating. especially if you are the one with an outstanding ticket and you end up pestering folks for a response. i don't like bothering folks and, well, every ticket is important and deserves some sort of response other than a generic e-mail. :(

I would volunteer my services to answer e-tickets if it was necessary and you guys were short staffed.

if ya need the help just pm me.

That is where they now reside. If off topic flaming is your thing then ANSWER E-TICKETS WITHIN A WEEK (off topic & flame kindergarten) is your thread. Frop, please check your inbox.

I hear you cena, LOUD and clear. ;)
I've brought this thread to the attention of the site admins and asked for an update on typical e-ticket turn around times.

Any further discussion until I report back from the admins, please let's keep it on topic and flame free.

Cheers

Cicero

In response to the OP I have asked the relevant administrators and have the following information:

Straightforward e-tickets are usually responded to within 24 hours if sent Sunday through Thursday. If sent Friday or Saturday then a response will usually take an additional 24 or 48 hours respectively.

However non-straightforward e-tickets, for example those relating to busts/blocks/appeals, almost always take longer since they involve liaison between multiple administrators. In such circumstances response times of over a week are not uncommon. Thorough investigation and internal communication ensures the best response albeit with a wait.

It is important to note that duplicate e-tickets or those repeatedly re-raising the same questions may receive a basic template response or in some cases no response.

The above information is a general guide and cannot be used to prove that any given ticket has been ignored or delayed.

It would seem reasonable that having sent an e-ticket that you assume it is being looked into, taking into account the caveats in my previous post, because that's what the e-ticket system is for after all.

Adding an extra 'acknowledgement' step would only slow the process further.
