A Multiple-Account Suggestion

Concise description:
When Multiple Accounts are being used to give points to an account, it seems rather unfair that they only lose their premium, which isn't that much money, and are allowed to keep the points. Forcing them to keep their account that was used as merely an unequalizer would be a more just punishment, in many peoples opinions.

Specifics:
  • When busted for being a Multi, allowed to keep lowest rank account only, instead of being allowed to choose which account they would like to keep.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • Make using multiple accounts less appealing.
  • Take away gain of points by using two accounts to achieve easier points.

edit: in the event where they were using both accounts pretty equally (i.e., splitting the wins between the two and just using them to lower others points), they would be allowed to choose, but the account would be returned too 1000 points, the starting value. This second way of punishing them could also be used when people use multiple accounts for other reasons, and can't be proven to have used it to farm (i.e., making a new one and claiming it's because they "couldn't remember their old password)

We have that already in a sense. If you gained significant points from the account, even if you re-buy premium membership, you will have a score reset to 1000.

The only problem is defining "significant points"

Any gain in points in this game is significant. I'd think, with this rule being the "Number One rule of the entire site, and most important", it'd be a very strict and heavily enforced rule (the death penalty seems appropriate).

They won't do this, because basically they'd be giving people a way to change their username... they like to keep everyone looking like the same person they were when they first joined. If anything, the offending party should just lose points.

What you're saying is extremely incorrect; the current rule is, as shown in the case of JCKing (an accused and busted Multi), he was using two accounts to win games, and then was allowed to keep the account, while the other one was banned, and all he lost was his Premium.

I don't know exactly how many points he gained, but he's now fairly high ranked, while the other account is banned. How's things like that fair at all?

It's not fair. But I'm saying that that's how it's going to continue to be. They will not ban his original account, and they will always ban the newer one. Otherwise, they'd get people creating a multi and cheating, just because they want a different username. What they should do to solve both problems, is ban the new account, then take points away from the account that benefited.

I know what you're saying, and it's incorrect. It doesn't matter which account is newer or older; the person that was caught chooses which account to keep. Here, let me show you...

Accused:
JCKing
Jesus Reigns

And here we are; the rule is flawed, and should be rectified; otherwise, anyone with money can cheat and, to be quite blunt, pay 25 USD to gain points and change their name whenever they want.

well, afaik in the case of JCKing he didnt use both accounts at the same time and therefore there was not points gain, else he would have been reset.

I don't think the situation you're referring to is usual.

*manimal has also been busted with many, many accounts, and almost always re-bought premium with a new name. It's ridiculous that they allow it, but they do.
