I am relatively new here, and I am enjoying Conquer Club, but I feel obligated to post about a game I recently played where me and my partner were completely destroyed just by bonus cards alone.
The story is, we were playing Doubles 2v2 on San Francisco, and me and my partner were slowly but surely winning. On round 5 practically out of nowhere Blue pulls out a red green and blue card set and receives 10 armies. Okay. He then destroys his ally and receives an additional red green and blue bonus card set, and this time gets 20 armies. He proceeds to hunt down and obliterate my ally, gaining more bonus cards, all in the span of one turn. The next turn he gains about 16 armies from territories and with the bonus card armies, deploys 45 armies and just completely decimates me. When the game is over he has conquered three people, the entire map, and still has one territory with 22 armies to spare.
I realize now that I should not set Bonus Cards to Escalating, but the amount of armies he gained is just unbelievable for such a small map, maybe even for a large map. I think different amounts of bonus armies from cards should be allotted depending on the amount of territories or regions on the map. Honestly I would like to be able to SET the amount of bonus armies allotted, if not to a number, then to a Light, Medim, or Heavy status.
Thoughts?
