Just wondering if there is a possibility of allowing a little time on new maps without awarding/deducting points

I am always interested when new maps are added, it shows a natural progression and maintains or increases the general interest of the players, lest face it its always nice to suddenly come across a map that suits your style,

But, and heres the crux of the whole point, often you dont wanna risk your rank trying the new maps out, why do it, when you know there are already maps out there you can win at. So my suggestion is that when a new map is added especially as an alterable beta map, make points irrelevant on that map, doesnt matter win or lose , you just wanna know how the map works, and learn some relevant tactics for that map,

So dont punish the players for being willing to try them out, take the ranking points out for a week for every new map.

Here's an idea ... stop right there, where you are ... just don't play ANY games. Then you don't have to worry at all.

Or, you could figure that playing is the thing and have fun.. win OR lose. Play a lot of games with different settings and maps and you may even find that while your rank goes down at times, your skills actually get BETTER and go up in rank even more overall... just a thought.

stop caring about your rank and play on whatever darn map and settings you want even if you know you will get owned at it. My rank shot 400 points upward in a week as soon as I started doing this.
