- Alternatively create a seperate rss feed just for speed games that updates every minute or when the rss is requested.
- Alternatively create rss feeds for individual speed games. This could be generated dynamically on request.
Specifics:
- The rss is currently almost useless for speed games
- Currently 3rd party CC notification widgets are irrelevant for speed games due to the infrequent updates (5mins i believe).
- It is possible that the rss may not display its your turn until a few seconds are left if any.
- This effects standard speed games the most, since sometimes it will be twenty minutes or more between turns. This forces the player to constantly refresh the My Games screen to catch his/her turn
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
- This will increase the playability of standard speed games.
- This will reduce deadbeating and missed turns due to forgetfullness or rounds happening faster than expected
- This will increase the usability of notifiers
- Using single tiny game rss that are dynamically generated on request a player would reduce this load and bandwith on the cc server, saving money
